  • Data are for electric generating plants with a total steam electric and combined name plate capacity of 50 megawatts or more.
  • BTU, Average Quality, and Average Delivered Cost values for 1991 and 1992 computed by VCCER, from data provided in EIA publications.
  • Totals may not equal sum of components due to independent rounding
  • IMPORTANT! Due to electric restructuring, several generating plants operated by electric utilities were sold and reclassified as nonutility generating plants during 1998 and 1999. At the completion of the sale, these electric plants were no longer required to file receipt and cost data on federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Form 423. It is important to note that the sale of plants has affected year-to-year comparisons of data at the State, Census Division, and National level.
